Xena is a young Dane who arrived at rescue heartworm positive, unsure of new situations, and in need of manners. She did well with the other pets in her foster home and flourished under the loving guidance of her foster family. She responded well to heartworm treatment and is now in a wonderful home. Xena has another Dane to play with and plenty of room to run and play. Most importantly, her family is willing to give her the time she needs to adjust and settle in.
Bailey was still a puppy when she arrived at rescue with her littermate, Bella. This sweet pair got along well with other dogs but weren’t sure how to behave in a home. Luckily for them, they landed in an experienced puppy foster home who provided the structure and positive reinforcement needed to teach them the joys of life with a family. As the girls gained confidence, they learned to bond with humans and were less reliant on each other. Now, Bailey lives with a retired couple who are continuing her training. She has a dog friend to play with and grandchildren to entertain. Bailey now knows the full joy of a furever home.
Annie Oakley arrived at rescue heartworm negative (which is rare in rescue!), but her hearing and vision deficits meant that she needed a special home. Lucky for Annie, a family of past adopters was up to the challenge. It was love at first sight, and now Annie is an only dog with a couple of kiddos to love on.
Congratulations to Xena, Bailey, Annie Oakley, and their furever families!
