For a while there we had to turn away dogs because of a lack of space, now we have more foster homes but our funds are lacking.
So, this is a friendly reminder of how you can help GDRNT without completely emptying your pockets!
GoodSearch
You can raise money for Great Dane Rescue of North Texas just by searching the Internet at GoodSearch.com.
You use GoodSearch.com like any other search engine - the site is powered by Yahoo! - but each time you do, money is generated for us.
Here's how it works:
1. Go to www.goodsearch.com
2. Type Great Dane Rescue of North Texas into the "I support" box and click on "verify"
3. Search the Internet just like you would with any search engine
4. Since GoodSearch shares its advertising revenue with charities and schools, every time you search the Internet at GoodSearch, you'll be earning money for us.
GoodSearch also has a toolbar you can download from the homepage so that you can search right from the top of your browser.
You can keep track of our estimated earnings by clicking on "amount raised" once you designate us as your organization of choice. The more people who use the site, the more money we'll earn, so please spread the word!!
Calendars
The Shelby Humane Society did all the hard work - they commissioned the artists, handled the layout and then printed the calendars. All we have to do is display them on our front page and we get $3 for each calendar sold through GDRNT!
What's our connection to the Shelby Humane Society in Alabama?
One of our founding members is now running that shelter! She knows our needs and she's willing to help us get some extra money (and luckily it's a really great calendar with some fantastic artwork so I don't mind promoting it!!!).
Phone Recyling
I don't have the grand total yet (still waiting for one last check), but I'm willing to bet we made close to $1000 from recylced cell phones this year! Woo-hoo!
This is the easiest fundraiser ever! Just hold onto your old phones until our next Meet & Greet, then hand 'em over. The hardest part is remembering to pull them out of the junk drawer.
