I was just thinking about GDRNT this evening and thought I'd stop by and update on Miss Peaches, aka Hazel May, who was originally called Greta when we adopted her from GDRNT. She's doing just fine! She's an old lady now, probably around 9. She is the easiest dog ever, these senior danes are amazing. So sweet, and she asks for so little. She spends a lot of time on her bed, but comes around to eat, drink, go potty and get loved on. She still gets the occasional zoomies, especially when the weather changes. She recently saw the vet and got a clean bill of health. She has some fatty tumors and moles, but nothing looks cancerous. She had gained about 10 pounds in the last year, it put her right around 150. She would be more svelte at 140, so we're cutting down her kibble a bit. She's always been a big female dane, and she still isn't FAT fat, but she's not very active so I guess a few pounds caught up with her over the past year. She's doing great with our two kids doesn't seem to have missed a beat after Duncan passed away. We're so glad she's still kickin'. She's a hoss and we love her!
